A Michigan man is facing prison time after he was convicted of shooting at a Black man while he was walking past his store, per Newsone.

56-year-old Anthony Mangiapane, who is white, was found guilty by a Macomb County jury of ethnic intimidation, assault with a deadly weapon, and a felony firearm charge.

The conviction stems from a Black man walking near a shop owned by Mangiapane in July 2022. Mangiapane allegedly shouted “N***** you better get moving!” at the man before shooting at him three times.

The victim evaded the shots and was left uninjured. When police arrived at the scene, they found the shooter had a collection of pistols, shotguns, AR-15-style rifles, high-capacity magazines, a German Luger pistol along with a Nazi memorabilia in his store.

Mangiapane was on trial for three days before a jury found him guilty on all charges. He is currently being held at the Macomb County Jail. Mangiapane's sentencing is scheduled for January 24, 2024.
