A video of a pair of California siblings hurling racial slurs at a couple dining at Panera Bread has connected them to a separate criminal incident in which they are now facing charges, per The Root.

In the video, siblings John Chong Uk Moon and Cindy Kim launched a racist attack against a Florida couple visiting a Panera Bread in California.

“What are you looking at, n****r?” Moon asked the couple.

“I said hi, this n****r started staring at me,” the man told his sister.

“We were sitting here, minding our own business,” the couple responded. “I said hi and he stared at me.”

At another point during their encounter, Kim told the couple “Don’t be a n****r, don’t act n****rly.’”

After the couple shared the "Karen" interaction online, Moon and Kim were linked to the February murder of Cuauhtemoc Garcia, who was shot and killed while walking on a bike path at a local park.

“This was a senseless and brutal act of violence that took the life of a husband, father, and businessman who simply wanted to enjoy a peaceful walk,” District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman previously said in a statement. “My sympathies go out to his family as they grieve this unimaginable loss. We will pursue justice to the fullest extent of the law to hold those responsible accountable.”

An anonymous tipster linked police footage of the two murder suspects to the siblings seen in the racist video.

Moon and Kim were each charged with one count of murder and one count of attempted second-degree robbery.

“Thank you so much,” Garcia’s widow said of the anonymous tipster. “You have made such a difference to a family. We can bury my husband at least knowing that they have the people in custody.”
