Group Of White Men Hurl Racial Slurs, Beat Black Man At Bar In Viral Video

A Black man was left injured from an apparent racially motivated attack at a bar in Fort Wayne, Indiana, 21 Alive reports.

The attack unfolded on Friday (May 30) at Pike's Pub, where officers responded to a "reported disturbance."

Before officers arrived at the scene, a fight broke out inside the bar. Authorities located the victim of the fight, who was taken to a local hospital in fair condition.

Video of the incident circulating online shows a group of white men, believed to be in a biker gang, wearing vests labeled "Outlaw," hurling racial slurs, and assaulting a Black man.

The Allen County Sheriff's Department said they've referred the case to the Criminal Investigations Division for investigation. No arrests had been made as of Sunday (June 1).

A spokesperson for the FBI Indianapolis Division said they were aware of the alleged "racially motivated assault."

“We are aware of the reported incident involving allegations of a racially motivated assault. At this time, we are unable to provide further comment," the spokesperson said. "The FBI takes all potential civil rights violations seriously and will continue to assess the facts as they develop.”

Fort Wayne Mayor Sharon Tucker described the incident as "disturbing."

“I must say, it was very disturbing to watch,” Tucker said in a statement. “I am seeking answers as I am sure many of you are too. I am in communication with our team and will continue to gather information as it becomes available.”
