President Donald Trump appeared to doze off during a televised White House event on "Making Health Technology Great Again."
On Wednesday (July 30), Trump spoke for roughly 10 minutes at the event before sitting down to listen to other speakers, including Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services administrator Mehmet Oz.
The president seemed to have a hard time keeping his eyes open as Oz ranted about what Americans are "tired of waiting for."
"The average Americans are tired," Oz said as Trump appeared to struggle to keep his eyes open. "They're tired of waiting for doctors' appointments. They're tired of waiting for the surprise of what your hospital bill is going to offer."
"They're tired of waiting for action to the medical records," he added.
Trump's apparent sleepiness came after he spent the weekend in Scotland, where he attended meetings with several European leaders and golfed at his resort.
However, this isn't the first time Trump has seemingly dozed off in public. Trump appeared in court with his eyes closed during testimony for his trial last year in the Stormy Daniels hush money case. The president's attorney claimed he was just "concentrating" and had closed his eyes "to relax."
Social media users called out the latest case of Trump's heavy eyelids, pointing out how he previously mocked former President Joe Biden as "Sleepy Joe."
