A white man was caught on camera harassing two Black teenagers who were fundraising for their church in Indiana.
Video of the incident, shared on TikTok on Wednesday (September 10), shows the man hurling profanities and racial slurs at teens outside a Bob Evans restaurant in Brownville, Indiana while they were selling candy for their church. The incident allegedly unfolded after the teens told the man, "God bless you."
“I said, ‘God bless you on a great day,’ and you said, ‘Get the f-ck away from my family,’” one teen said to the man.
“Get the f–k on down the road, dude. You’re selling candy for drugs, fool,” the man responded, before later suggesting that the teens were carrying weapons.
“You got a gun on you?” he added.
“You’re trying to get us to fight you,” one of the teens responded. “You called us monkeys, you called us the N-word, you called us nappy-headed.”
“Go on down under the bridge. Get outta here," the man said.
Throughout the encounter, the man hurled various versions of the N-word.
“I don’t care if you all motherf-ckers b-tch if it’s ‘a’ or hard ‘r,’” he said.
“If you touch me, I swear to God, n-word’s gonna go up in the motherf–ker!” the man said, continuing his racist tirade.
Despite the repeated verbal assaults, the teens appeared to walk away from the situation.
The video of the incident went viral, with social media users condemning the man’s behavior.
"Wow, he is a despicable horrible human. And unfortunately he will raise his kids to be racist just like him," one TikTok user commented.
"Imagine how traumatizing this is for them and how scared they were inside. I just don’t understand how one can have that much hatred in their heart," another person wrote.
